Introduction Leonardo da Vinci was a very intelligent man. He studied many things including mathematics, art, and literature. Among everything, this presentation will tell you about Leonardo studying geology.

What did Leonardo da Vinci study about the Earth? ???????? Question 1 ???????? What did Leonardo da Vinci study about the Earth?

Leonardo da Vinci studied… Answer 1 Leonardo da Vinci studied… The layers of rock/mountains (how substances piled on top of each other) Fossils (First to discover that fossils were the remains of dead things) How water affects things like rock/mountains (he recognized how things erode) He recorded everything in his journal using drawings Hydraulic Engineering/Soil Conservation (He discovered how to preserve farmland)

What did Leonardo da Vinci invent to help the Earth? ???????? Question 2 ???????? What did Leonardo da Vinci invent to help the Earth?

Answer 2 Leonardo da Vinci invented tools and methods to bring back and preserve farmland. To do this, he used his knowledge of hydraulic engineering and soil conservation. He also came up with the idea of solar power.

???????? Question 3 ???????? Did Leonardo da Vinci come up with a lot of theories? Did people agree with him?

Leonardo did have some theories. Answer 3: Part 1 Leonardo did have some theories. Some of them were: He did not believe that the Great Flood happened. He believed that the water would not have had anywhere to go and that it would have mixed up all the layers that we see so clearly. He thought that the Earth had once been covered with water and had grown up out of it.

Answer 3: Part 2 Everyone except Leonardo believed the story of the Great Flood.
