Outline IEEE 802.21-2017 has a minor inconsistency. A value of parameter L in clause 9.6 is not explicitly described. Implementers may be confused by the inconsistency. We can solve the above problem by minor corrections. We propose to make a corrigenda PAR to issue an errata of IEEE 802.21-2017. 21-17-0008-00-0000
Inconsistency in IEEE 802.21-2017 p.220 in IEEE P802.21m/D07. p.212 in IEEE P802.21m/D07. However, any description regarding parameter L is not found in 9.6.5. Consistency between 9.6.1 and 9.6.5 is needed. The description for parameter L should be added in 9.6.5 to resolve this issue. The paragraph indicates that L is determined by selected group ciphersuite described in 9.6.5. 21-17-0008-00-0000
Suggested corrections (1/3) p.212 in IEEE P802.21m/D07. L = L1 + L2 is determined by selected group ciphersuite described in 9.6.5 and group key distribution ciphersuites described in 9.6.6. 21-17-0008-00-0000 21-17-0005-00-0000
Suggested corrections (2/3) p.220 in IEEE P802.21m/D07. L1 128 Add new rows to explicitly describe L = L1 + L2. 128 L2 128 21-17-0008-00-0000 21-17-0005-00-0000
Suggested corrections (3/3) p.213 in IEEE P802.21m/D07. Return Result(n). MIGSK is the left most L1 bits of Result(n). MIGKVK is the L1+1 to L1+L2 bits from the left of Result(n) if L2 is not ‘0’, and MIGKVK is not included if L2 is ‘0’. 21-17-0008-00-0000
