Unbalanced forces: Change the motion of an object! Force: Push or pull! Unbalanced forces: Change the motion of an object! Maybe stopping an object from moving or putting an object in motion

Balanced Force: Forces are equal and opposite to each other! Also called F surface F Normal F Gravity

Balanced Forces: Balanced forces have a net force of zero!!

Types of Forces: Gravity: always pulling down! ** Every force diagram should include this! Surface/Normal: the force that is pushing up from the ground/table/floor ** should also be in every force diagram!

Types of Forces: Friction: Goes in the opposite direction of motion! Friction slows things down! Will only be found in force diagrams for moving objects Push
