ACTION FOR RIGHT TO EDUCATION ( a necessity for Community Development ) Mobilization Process for Education Youth Ambassadors and Teachers

EYA`s Mobilization Process Call for EYA`s were made public on social media and RTE website for the submission of interest. 50 EYA`s were shortlisted in district Sukkur, out of those 5 EYA`s were shortlisted as EYA mentors. Selecetd EYA`s collected the school information report for enrolment and facilities in 25 schools of Sukkur 50 EYA`s were given a day long training on Right to Education, Sindh Right to Free and Compulsory Education, 2013, Role of youth in citizen activism. 5 EYA mentors then trained another 250 community member for action to right to Education.

Teachers Mobilization Process School Education & Literacy Department, Sindh nominted 40 Teachers and 10 Private school teachers shortlisted in district Sukkur, out of those 5 teachers were shortlisted as EYA teacher mentors. 50 teachers were given a day long training on Right to Education, Sindh Right to Free and Compulsory Education, 2013, Role of youth in citizen activism. 5 teacher mentors then trained another 250 teachers and community members for action to right to Education.

Impact of Mobilization The School Report Cards highlighted the trends of enrolment and issues pertaining to missing facilities. The EYA`s conducted the awareness campaigns regarding taking a child to school, mobilizing teachers to perform their duties as prescribed by law and motivating parents to sending their children to school. Teachers, known as the basic tool for running the education vehicle were unaware of the act, their duties as prescribed by the law were given complete awareness about the act. The issues were taken up with the political and civil/ education leadership of district.
