You will be writing 3 Haikus one for each region of study that we’ve done this year; Middle East, Africa, & Asia

"Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry that portrays nature "Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry that portrays nature. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme. Here's a Haiku to help you remember: mischievous I am first with five Then seven in the middle -- Five again to end.

Of the 3 Haikus you wrote yesterday you will pick your 2 best ones and rewrite them nice and NEAT then you will illustrated them and give them each a title. This will be done on separate pieces of paper.
