transparent, translucent, opaque Review transparent, translucent, opaque

Speed of light Approximately 300,000,000 meters per second Approximately 186,000 miles per second Light is so fast it can travel around the world about 7.4 times every second. It takes only 8 minutes for light to get to the earth. It would take the fastest car hundreds of years.

Reflection of light The bouncing of light off of a surface

Uneven reflection A notebook paper is not smooth so it gives you an uneven reflection. Light does not bounce in the same direction This is why you can see the notebook paper but you can not see your reflection in the paper.

Even reflection A mirror gives you an even reflection because the light bounces off of the mirror at the same angle. A mirror is good for even reflections because it is smooth. That is why you see yourself mirror

Types of mirrors Flat mirror – normal reflection

Concave mirror- reflects and upside down image and/or a zoomed in image

Convex mirror-reflects a smaller image and more can be displayed on the mirror
