Who Do You Choose to Be?

Assignment One key lesson in The Iron Giant is that no matter where we come from, or how we are “designed,” ultimately, we have the power to choose who we are. In a full written page (or half a typed page, single-spaced), please reflect upon how this lesson relates to you. Explain how who “you choose to be” TODAY will help you become the person you want to be in the future. How might where you come from or how you are “designed” present a challenge to you becoming who you want to be? How will you overcome these challenges? Conclude your essay by explaining WHY this key lesson from The Iron Giant is important. Why is it important for us to learn this lesson as we plan for our futures?

Rubric Length. 25 points. Identification of “goal.” 25 points. Explanation of how today’s choices affect your future. 25 points. Conclusion. 25 points.
