“Who Rules” Activity You have all been given an island to control. Who rules in your island? Your family? You? Your friends? Nobody? You have 5 min to create a form of government. Decide who rules and how will laws be enforced. Remember the 5 functions of government we discussed yesterday.
Results How many of you decided to rule the island yourselves? How many of you decided on having no government at all? How many of you decided to let the people in the island decide?

Representative Democracy The people elect representatives that voice their opinions This allows for minority groups to have their voices heard This is at the heart of the American political experience
