How Well do you know NM? NM Geography

STEP 1 On a blank piece of paper draw an outline map of NM.

Step 2 Place the following on the map. (If you don’t know, guess) Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Farmington, Aztec, Bloomfield, Shiprock, Las Cruces, Roswell, Jal, Cuba, Gallup, Santa Rosa, Raton, Silver City and Carlsbad.

Step 3 With a blue pen, draw and label the following rivers and lakes: San Juan, Animas, Rio Grande, Pecos Navajo Dam, Elephant Butte

Step 4 Using a different colored pen/pencil, draw and label the following roads: I-40, I-25, I-10, HWY 550, HWY 491

Step 5 Using a triangle locate and label the following mountains on your map: Sangre de Cristo Andres Sacramento Wheeler Peak (highest point in NM)
