Student’s Agenda Tests and events entered each day during AA period. Students should fill out agendas each day. Check to see if they are doing this! Rules and dates of events are included.
Reading Grading Comprehension of stories read in text. Moodle and My Big Campus Writing responses to what student have read. Vocabulary Accelerated Reader (15% of grade) Students already have Reading Range and goals.
Accelerated Reader STAR Test taken at the beginning of each quarter to establish a reading range. Students are assigned a Reading Goal based off of their STAR test scores. Annual Progress Reports send home with Report Cards. Diagnostic Reports sent home with Report Cards. Goals to be met the Wednesday before the end of each grading period (Oct. 2, 2013).
Success in AR Choose book in reading level. Read same book as a friend. Write 2-3 sentence summary for each chapter on a flashcard. Don’t wait until the last minute. Read 20 or more minutes a night. Read nonfiction
