Polish Singer, composer, multiinstrumentalist and songswriter Czesław Niemen
Czesław Niemen (the real name is Czesław Juliusz Wydrzycki) was born in Old Vasilishki, a village in Belarus, in 1939. In 1958 he was repatriated to Poland. His scenical name is a pseudonym taken after the name of the river Niemen. HIS LIFE
Debuted as a rock and soul singer in the early 1960's with the band „Blue and black”. After leaving the band he performed as a soloist and led his own groups as well. He has also created music for theater and film. In the last years of his career, he was also creating computer graphics. CAREER
His greatest hits include "Strange is this World", "Do you still remember me", „beneath the parrots" and "Dream of Warsaw". SUCCESS
