About STAND The industry is represented through The Grocery Suppliers of Norway (DLF) Trade association for manufacturers and suppliers of branded products in grocery and food service sector The trade is represented through Norwegian Grocery Sector’s Environmental Forum (DMF) Coordinating common challenges linked to sustainable transport, and reduced environmental impact 2

STAND mandate (extraction) Contribute to the efficiency and cost reductions of the flow of goods, from manufacturer all the way to consumer Based on an overall view, initiate and work with tasks of common interest to the supply chain Develop recommended standards and guidelines. Is legally binding only when referred to in the commercial agreement between supplier and customer The guidelines have been prepared for use in Norwegian retail. For use in other channels (convenience, e-commerce, catering) this must be explicitly agreed between the parties The work in STAND is based on tasks approved by DLF and DMF The parties must cover their own expences for joining STAND Projects are funded by 50/50 from industry and trade 3

STAND-framework is... A living document A result from projects with clearly defined goals and cost/benefit assessments Quality ensured and approved by DLF and DMF Agreed upon by all parties involved Predictable – amendments are implemented with approved warning deadlines Coordinated with other standardization bodies having standards valid to retail industry Open and common to the retail industry, and at all time within the rules of excisting competition act Developed according to environment regulations set by the authorities, etc. Developed for the purpose of being included in the delivery agreements between the parties Published on www.stand.no 4
