Four Season Tree Booklet Ms. Edwina: Good afternoon class ! Students: Good afternoon Ms. Edwina Ms. Edwina: I hope we all had a good lunch. Today we are going to learn about the four seasons. You will be able to use the computer to complete your four season booklet Students: (Okay), (cool), (we get to use the computer! Awesome!)

PowerPoint Ms. Edwina: Class, do trees look the same all year round? Students: (no!), (I don’t know) Ms. Edwina: Why do you think trees lose their leaves year round? Students: (I don’t Know?) Ms. Edwina: The two questions I asked it is okay if you don’t know the answer. I have a PowerPoint that will go over the two questions I asked (Ms. Edwina is now going through the PowerPoint)

Explore Ms. Edwina: Okay class now I want us to get out our seat and head outside to the black top. Students: Okay (students walking with teacher outside) Ms. Edwina: Alright class can anybody tell me what season we are in now Students: winter?! Ms. Edwina: That is correct. But why do you think it is winter Students: Because the trees don’t have any leaves. Ms. Edwina: Awesome class, lets head back inside for our project

Publisher Project Ms. Edwina: Okay class we are now going to open up publisher Students: okay Ms. Edwina: Find More blank page sizes in Publisher Ms. Edwina: Select booklets and choose ½ letter booklets. Any questions so far ? Students: No Ms. Edwina: okay now, Select the first page. Students will title the page The Four Season with their name

Publisher Project Ms. Edwina: Select a page, you can use clip art or the internet to find a tree on a spring day. Copy and paste on to the publisher or select from clip art and it will automatically paste onto the word document. Students: Okay Ms. Edwina: You will do the same for fall, winter, and summer Students: okay got it ! Ms. Edwina: Enjoy have fun! Let me know if you have any questions I will be walking around.

After Project Ms. Edwina: How was the project? Was it hard or easy? Students: The project was cool to be able to see the different seasons in pictures. It was pretty easy using publisher. Ms. Edwina: I am glad to hear that. Now I want you to discuss in small groups you favorite season. I will then ask you to share your favorite. Students: chattering Ms. Edwina: Okay class time is up? Share your favorite season and why? Student: My favorite season is summer because I like to go swimming. Student: My favorite season is winter because I like Christmas. Student: My favorite season is fall because I like to play in the leaves that are pretty colors. Ms. Edwina: I am glad to hear that you guys have a favorite season. My favorite season is winter. I like the cold, to dress all warm and I love hot coco. Students: laugh
