GLobal Winds

Looking at Wind These are global winds near the equator are they flowing in the direction you expected?

Global Winds Top ½ pg. 62R Color the winds near the equator red. Color the westerlies purple. Color the ones near the poles blue.

Global Winds Top ½ pg. 62R Where would you expect the global H pressure and low pressure systems to be. Draw H’s and L’s where you would expect them to be.

Global Winds Pg. 62R Bottom ½ Use your map of global ocean currents pg. 59R and wind map then create a Venn Diagram comparing the global wind patterns and the global surface currents.

Global Winds and Ocean Currents pg.61L Glue Global winds and Ocean currents WS onto page 61L and answer questions in complete sentences.
