NIH Pathways Programs Components NIH Internship NIH Recent Graduates NIH Presidential Management Fellows

NIH Internship Program Enrolled in high school, college, professional, technical, vocational, and trade school or certificate program lasting at least one year 3.0 cumulative GPA Appoint up to the GS-11 level Eligibility Full- or part-time Indefinite Intern and Temporary Intern Pathways Participant Agreement required Program Administration Mandatory Orientation, IDP within 45 days, mentor assigned within 90 days Up to 40 hours of formal, interactive or on-the-job training per year Training and Development Must complete degree or certificate requirements Must complete 640 hours prior to graduation (option to waive 320 hours for interns who demonstrate high potential) Must meet qualification standards for the position to be converted Non-competitive conversion within 120 days of successful completion of program requirements Program Completion
