A detailed sales history database is created and periodically updated with current data. After running your day-end in ACCPAC, update the sales analysis database by launching the Retrieve Details program. Now you are ready to analyze or report on your sales data. Launch the Inquiry & Report Engine. You can select from the list of stored queries that you previously created, or create a new query. We will create a new query for this demonstration. Business Intelligence from UniDevCo Sales Analysis

Give your query a name and enter any descriptive notes that may be useful for determining the query’s purpose. Select the data you are interested in from the more than 100 data fields available using the Add button. You can also have your query pass its parameters to a Crystal Report that you have created. The next Window that appears is the parameter entry screen. Use the intuitive, ACCPAC friendly Finders to indicate the starting and ending parameters for your query. Here is the result of your query. Note that you can now summarize… to various levels of detail so you can view your data however you need to for analysis purposes. You also have the ability to drill-down from a Sales Analysis query to other UniDevCo products for more details on certain fields. Double-clicking on an item code will launch UniDevCo Item Inquiry that displays all item details including price, availability, and much more in one convenient display. Double-clicking on a customer code will launch UniDevCo Customer Inquiry, part of AR Inquiry, that displays all customer details including current credit standing, payment history and more in one convenient display.
