Updated Fall 2012

To use the Scissor Lift, you will need at least: The Sissor Lift Key Key Proper Harness & Lanyard Trained Spotter for Safety

All Tools, Equipment, Gear and Persons can altogether weigh no-more than 600 lbs on the scissor lift.

Look for Hazards Look for Leaks Look for Damage Report ANY problems to MU Building Services

Drivers need to get low and take a knee when cruising thru low overhead environments! BEWARE hazards in driving the platform thru a doorway!

DO NOT Sit on Rail Stand on Rail Lean Over Rail

There are Six (6) approved anchor clip- in points on the work platform.

Use extreme caution when using anything that might hang off the work platform, or might get caught in the scissor mechanism.

Lets you work above obstructions or in areas where pulling close to the wall is not advantageous

Battery Gauge Toggle Switch LEFT for UP/DOWN vertical operation on the Joystick Toggle Switch RIGHT for FORWARD/BACK driving operation on the Joystick The Joystick has: A dead-man-grip (lift wont move unless you squeeze with your hand) A rocker-switch (that turns the wheels left or right)

Lower Controls should be used during the following situations: During Pre-Use Inspection of Lift Functions By the Spotter ONLY After Given Permission to Operate a Function by the Operator By the Spotter To Override the Upper Controls and Gain Access to the Operator in the Event of an Emergency

Spotters walk ahead and around of the operating lift and pay special attention to the lift route of travel to watch and warn the operator about: Doorways Blind corners Low overhead clearances People approaching from front or rear Hazards on the floor like power cords or tools

Automatic doors must be propped or held open long enough to allow the lift to pass through the doorway When entering and exiting the elevator, spotter must hold the Door Open button open until the lift is fully on or fully off the elevator car.
