Airport Cell Analogy Ridzky R. Anwar

Cell Wall Cell wall can be compared to the airport security team in that it protects cells from foreign objects just like how security team tries to protects the airport from dangerous objects

Cell Membrane Cell membrane is like a control tower in that it controls what can enter and leave cells, just like how a control tower controls what planes leave and enter the airport

Nucleus Nucleus is like the control tower’s director of flight control because it can control the basic function of cell just like how a director of flight controls the basic function of airport

Mitochondria It can be compared to the electrical centre of an airport because both provides energy (ATP for cells, electricity for airport)

Vacuole Vacoule are like fuel tanks at the airport in that vacuole stores food for later use just like how fuel tanks stores fuel for later use

Cytoplasm Cytoplasm can be compared to runways of an airport in that cytoplasm is the place where chemicals react, much like how runways are the place where airplanes takes off.

Cytoskeleton Cytoskeleton maintain the shape of the cell, just like how the frame of an airport maintains the airport building shape

Endoplasmic Reticulum Endoplasmic Reticulum is like a conveyer belt of an airport in that both transport stuff (protein for endoplasmic reticulum, luggages for conveyer belt)

Golgi Apparatus Golgi apparatus distributes cells, just like how luggage sorter distributes luggages in an airport

Lysosomes Lysosomes stores wastes, just like the trash cans in the airport
