Week of: March 2 - March 6, 2015 We’ve Been Busy! A Look at Next Week… This week in our Phonetic Connections curriculum, we focused on the /g/ sound. We practiced rhyming words, writing and reading CVC words. Monday, the 2nd, was Dr. Seuss’s birthday! We celebrated the whole week with dress up days, reading fun stories, and even new books! We continued our study of the 7 continents by visiting Australia. We wrote facts about Australia. In math, we solved the questions “How Many More to 10?” using the Seuss texts, 10 Apples Up On Top and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Reading: Asia Phonics: /Dd/ Writing: Facts about Asia; Compare Little Red Riding Hood and Lon Po Po Unit Studies: Exploring Asia Math: Assessments; Teen Numbers Important Dates Words of the Week March 18th-19th: Parent Teacher Conferences 4pm-7pm March 23rd-27th: SPRING BREAK (No School) bag, pen, dig, had, red, did Sight Words: now, do What Can You Do at Home? Please call the school during the hours of 8 am to 3 pm at 501-450-4825 to schedule your parent/teacher conference. It is VERY important that you do this, so you can choose the time that is most convenient for you!
