Why I volunteered at ECHO I really liked the organization and what they do.

What did I do at ECHO

What I got out of doing it. They refreshed my memory of the vertical farm, tire garden, rooftop garden and the platform garden. They also reminded me that you don’t need soil to grow things, but you can use carpeting, newspapers, etc. I learned the moringa tree has more potassium than bananas and more calcium than milk. I also noticed many families with their kids and it made me remember that Dewey said if we teach our kids young they will learn, so hopefully what they learned will stay with them.

Another thing I did at ECHO

How they had me get the fungus out.

Rabbits

Turkin

Goat

Ducks

The gardening event Parking attendant Helped people bring the plants and trees they bought to their cars.

Video Interesting video of how to stop world hunger with vertical farm skyscrapers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucfpPNeJirg

In Conclusion I had a good experience volunteering at ECHO, but they sure do work you hard.
