What we know: Je aime les carrotes Becomes : je les aime Tu regardes la boucherie Tu la regardes Ils mangent le boeuf. Ils le mangent

Last class, we discussed a Few new pronouns. Lui- a + person Leur- a+ people Je jette le ballon a Marc Je Lui jette le ballon Tu jettes le boeuf a Richard et Kayla. Tu leur jettes le boeuf.

We need to recognize that between any subject and verb, there are four spaces. Je __1____ ___2____ ___3____ ___4_____ aime 1. First space, le/ la/ les 2. Second space is Lui/ leur

For example: Je jette le boeuf a David. First space is le/ la/ les Je le _ _ _ jette a David. Je le lui _ _ jette.

Y: there The third place is for y, which replaces a + place Je vais a la boucherie J'y vais

So, if we had a+ person, a + place, and le/ la in the same sentence Je jette la mayonnaise a karissa a la boucherie. Je la jette a karissa a la boucherie Je la lui jette a la boucherie Je la lui y jette
