Strengths and Weaknesses Use pages 438 – 441 to compile a list of strengths and weaknesses for both the North and the South. At least 3 for each Use pages 445-447 to answer the following about the draft. How did both sides gain many of their soldiers early in the war? Why did the South have to resort to a draft earlier than the North? How were the drafts in both the North and the South unfair to those who were poor?
