Figure 1 Effects of an intrarenal phenol injection on blood pressure before and after nephrectomy. The line graphs show the levels of blood pressure before and after the intrarenal injection of 50 μL of 10% phenol or normal saline (control) in the left kidney. The injection was performed after the measurement of baseline blood pressure. Thereafter, blood pressure was measured weekly by the tail cuff method.
