Introduction: EPRM employs what is called a Nodal Hierarchy, this term simply means a structured hierarchy that consists of nodes. These nodes can be components, units, agencies or any other organization. When building their hierarchy a Node Administrator can build it to mirror a unit chain of command or the areas of responsibility for assessors. Establishing a good hierarchy will ensure that assessment management and multi assessment analysis are easily achievable. This guide is intended to give Node Managers an overview of the steps involved in creating and managing the Nodal Hierarchy.
Hierarchy Management: To manage your nodal hierarchy, select Manage Nodes from the drop down menu at the top of the screen.
Hierarchy Management (continued): Any existing hierarchy in which you have been placed and have permissions will display, the colors of the nodes will indicate your level of access and privilege. Red nodes indicate a node in which you have no permissions. Yellow nodes indicate the node in which a node administrator resides and has limited privileges of creating and managing child nodes. Black nodes indicate a node in which you have full administrative privileges. Gray nodes are expired, new assessments or templates cannot be created in these nodes.
Hierarchy Management (continued): To create a child node, select the node you want to be the parent and click the Create Child Node button.
Hierarchy Management (continued): Next, name the new node and click Save.
Hierarchy Management (continued): Once the node has been created it can be renamed or expired by selecting the node and then clicking the desired button. The node can also be moved anywhere else in the hierarchy by simply dragging and dropping it with your curser.
