Winter weather characteristics and effects Explain to the children that on each slide of the presentation there is a description of either a characteristic or an effect of winter weather. The children need to decide whether what is on the slide is a characteristic or an effect by moving to the sign on either side of the room: ‘Characteristic or ‘Effect’. If they are not sure, they can stand in the middle of the room.
