What is Forest School? Forest School: gives children opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and self-esteem provides children with hands-on learning experiences involves regular, long-term contact with the outdoors is fun. Forest School sessions are organised and led by a qualified leader (Miss Power) and are supported by additional adults.
Benefits of Forest School At Forest School children: explore the natural environment around them learn to appreciate and care for the plants and animals make choices and decisions take risks communicate with others about what they discover and the ideas they have initiate own learning experiences.
A typical session children change in the classroom we always have a safety discussion before entering the site welcome activity / game discussion exploring time – children may be set an activity or challenge to complete snack review of session.

What does your child need? suitable clothing – sent to school in a named bag suitable footwear we will provide waterproof dungarees for each child. * Forest School is an all-weather activity so please make sure your child is prepared!
