Monday’s Lesson Learning Goal: Students will be able to recognize and describe components on the Earth’s surface and justify how and why it changes over time. Standard:SC.1.E.6.2: (DOK 2) Describe the need for water and how to be safe around water Engage: Ask students to describe the earth. Then describe components that appear on Earth’s surface, including water, rocks, soil, and living organisms; Explore: Components are exclusive to Earth’s surface and are not found in other layers of Earth’s crust Explain: Explain what makes up the earth (land, water, air). Elaborate: Discuss landforms, rocks, soil and water Evaluate: Students draw and label or define different landforms/or pools of water
