Benito Mussolini Founded Italy's Fascist Party.

Vladimir Lenin Founded Communist governments through the Russian Empire. Territories renamed “Union of Soviet Socialist Republics” in 1922.

Joseph Stalin Dictator of Soviet Union in 1927. Industrialized Russia. If resisted Communist policies you were killed. (Killed 7-10 million.)

Adolf Hitler Dictator of Germany. Leader of the Nazi Party.

Believed Germans were the “Master Race”. Felt Jews were center of Germany’s problems

Emperor Hirohito Emperor of Japan 1921-1989. Supported invasion of Manchuria and China.

Supported the attack on Pearl Harbor. Surrendered to the U.S. to end WWII. Transformed Japan into the 2nd economic super power

Winston Churchill Prime Minister of Great Britain

Franklin Delano Roosevelt President of United States 1939-1941 remained neutral in WWII
