Artemis Brittany Marie Woods

Artemis is the virgin goddess of the wilderness, the hunt, and fertility. She is the daughter of Leto and Zeus and the twin of Apollo. She protected women during labor, and the arrows of Artemis were said to bring death while giving birth. She is known for healing as well as giving diseases such as leprosy, rabies, etc.

Story of Birth Artemis was born one day before her brother on the island of Ortygia. Immediately after she was born she helped Leto to cross the straits of Delos to deliver Apollo; therefore, she is known for fertility.

She asked Zeus to give her eternal virginity (wouldn’t that be the greatest thing for a dad to hear). Gave punishment to any man who tried to have sexual intercourse with her.
