HSROTC Meets PE & Health requirement with completion of 5 semesters. The 6th and 7th semester equals a humanity credit.

PE 2 credits of PE/HSROTC or approved equivalency are required for graduation. 1 credit may be waived with participation in sports (.5 per sport season) Credit may be earned through Extended Studies office Supervised Curriculum PE (SCPE) PE Options Waivers DO NOT give credit (just allow you to take something other than PE)

World Languages 2-4 years of same language required for some colleges. We offer: French Spanish Yes, sign language is a foreign language. Dual Credit is available through TMCC, WNC, SNC and UNR junior and senior years Credit is also available through State approved classes.

Extended Studies -WCSD SCPE – training for a competitive sport. PE Options – classes at a gym Work Experience – 160 hours = .5 credit junior or senior years ONLY Correspondence classes are available through WCSD * NOTE; All out of school credit must be approved of through the Counseling or Administration offices. ALL CLASSES MUST BE COMPLETE BEFORE THE END OF THE DISTRICT’S SEMESTER; DECEMBER OR THE LAST WEEK OF MAY.

Dual Credit Opportunities Junior and Seniors suggested but open to lower classmen. Must get permission from Counselor GPA for Seniors 2.5 GPA for Juniors 3.0 Must request transcript for certain vendors Classes that are not a part of I.H.S. .05 bump or .025 WORTH 1.0 high school CREDITS PER 3.O COLLEGE CREDIT FERPA law prevents the school from monitoring (EXCEPT TMCC IF SIGNED UNDER THE SCHOOL). NEED TO BE COMPLETE WITHIN THE SEMESTER.

Correspondence Not recommended for freshmen; No more than one is suggested. NOT recommended for Math, Science, and Foreign Languages. Students must prove enrollment, by receipt. Must be complete by the semester end. Three Weeks past the semester ending, turns to an F if no transcript is given to the registrar. The counselor cannot monitor the progress of any student unless the school, Incline, is added (BYU) It is the parent’s responsibility to monitor progress and to order final. An agreement must be signed by both the student and parent. BYU can no longer be used for the Computer Literacy requirement after August 1, 2019.

GPA Both un-weighted and weighted cumulative GPA end up on the transcript. Based on a 4.0 scale A= 4 B= 3 C= 2 D = 1 (minuses do not count) No credit is awarded for Fs; S or U grades do not effect your GPA.
