Measurement - Length. Digital vs. Analog There are many other types of measuring instruments that measure various other things. There are many other types.
Measurements. How is the equipment used? To find perimeter, area, volume or length you just take the ruler at the centimeter side and put the end point.
Measuring Objective: At the end of this lesson students will understand and be familiar with basic scientific units of measure.

Standard MG 1.3 Lessons 14.1 (#1-6, 8-13,17, 25)   Objective: Find the perimeter of a polygon with integer sides A Ruler is used to measure both inches and centimeters. A ruler can also help you draw straight lines. Measuring with a Ruler begin at zero even though it isn’t labeled on most rulers. Start with the first ruled mark, not the end of the ruler. Created by Therese Duffy 2011

Standard MG 1.3 Lessons 14.1 (#1-6, 8-13,17, 25)   Objective: Find the perimeter of a polygon with integer sides Inch (in.) (’’)measuring will be done on the side with the numbers that stop at 12. The little lines between the numbers are for measuring ½ and other fractions of an inch. Centimeter (cm) measuring will be done on the side with the numbers that stop at 30. The little lines between the numbers are for measuring the smaller millimeter (mm). Created by Therese Duffy 2011
