Common Core Standards: Friday, May 17, 2019 Common Core Standards: RI.11-12.7 and SL.11-12.1 Aim: How can we identify relevant information from our sources and compose research note cards for our research paper? Do Now: Answer one of the following questions. 1.) What do good readers do when they read sources that will be used in a research paper? 2.) What can you predict that you will find in your sources to support your research question (How has technology influenced…?)? Objective: Students will be able to identify relevant information from our sources and compose research note cards.

Objective:: Students will be able to identify relevant information from our sources and compose research note cards. Agenda A.) Do Now: Answer one of the questions. B.) Discuss/Share: Turn and talk with your table mates. Share with your table captains. Captains will share with the class. C.) Mini-Lesson: Introduce two examples of research note cards. Students can choose either example as a template. C.) Work Period: Work on creating 20 research note cards (due next Wednesday, May 22nd). D.) Reflections: Do you understand how to compose research note cards? Are you satisfied with your completed work? What did you learn today that you can apply in the future?
