Job

“Today also my complaint is bitter; his hand is heavy despite my groaning. Oh, that I knew where I might find him, that I might come even to his dwelling!... “If I go forward, he is not there;

or backward, I cannot perceive him; on the left he hides, and I cannot behold him; I turn to the right, but I cannot see him. Job 23:2-3, 8-9

And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he had prayed for his friends; and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before…the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning. Job 42:10-12 

Jeremiah

Cursed be the day on which I was born Cursed be the day on which I was born! The day when my mother bore me, let it not be blessed! Why did I come forth from the womb to see toil and sorrow and spend my days in shame? Jeremiah 20:14,18

The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, , and he shall reign as king and deal wisely and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. Jer. 23:5

Jonah & the Bush

But God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the bush But God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the bush?” And he said, “Yes, angry enough to die. Then the Lord said, “You are concerned about the bush, for which you did not labor and which you

did not grow; it came into being in a night and perished in a night did not grow; it came into being in a night and perished in a night. And should I not be concerned about Ninevah, that great city, in which there are more than a hundred twenty thousand persons…?” Jonah 4:9-11

David

How long, O Lord. Will you forget me forever How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I bear pain in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all day long? Ps. 13:1-2

Abraham & Sarah

Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said to himself, “Can a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Can Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child

So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I have grown old, and my husband is old, shall I have pleasure? Gen 17:17 & Gen 18:12

God knows our hearts and understands our humanity AND LOVES US ANYWAY
