PPT Presentation Guidelines Highlight key points to reinforce what the facilitator is saying. Should be short and to the point, include only key words and phrases for visual reinforcement.

Making Slides Main Points Only One Idea per Slide Short Words, Few Words (5 per line) Strong Statements: Active Voice

Don’t Say it, Show it Charts and Graphs Help You: Increase Understanding Save Time Enhance Attention Help Control Nervousness

FONTS Font style should be readable Recommended fonts: Arial, Tahoma, Veranda Standardize the font throughout (your entire PPT should be the same font).

Tips for Delivery Preparation is Key! Know the material well. Prepare an outline and notes. Practice your presentation out loud with peers. Respect your time limits.

Good Public Speaking Speak slowly and clearly. Project to the back of the room. Do not read entire presentation. Pause for emphasis… Do not fidget.
