The Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem

The “Triumphal Entry” into Jerusalem The unexpected parade A donkey and some robes, palm branches, and shouts of praise… and some grumpy Pharisees Luke 19:29-40, John 12:12-13

Our faith should be PERSONAL and PUBLIC, not PERSONAL and PRIVATE.

To help us overcome fear in doing difficult things: start with FACT ask God to increase your FAITH don’t let FEELINGS lead

41 As Jesus approached and saw the city, He wept over it,  42 saying,  “If you knew this day what would bring peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes.  43 For the days will come on you when your enemies will build an embankment against you, surround you, and hem you in on every side.  44 They will crush you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave one stone on another in you, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.” Jesus, Luke 19:41-44

In this unexpected parade… …there was bold and unashamed praise. Our faith should be PERSONAL and PUBLIC (not personal and private). …Jesus wept for people who didn’t recognize Him as Savior. We should care – really care – about people who don’t yet know Jesus.
