Fall 2019 LT Parent Meeting Thanks for Coming! Thanks for Supporting your Child in pursuing football Informational meeting to provide you with general info related to the 2019 season All information shared tonight will be posted on the website: athletics.legendtitans.org

Program Objectives/Expectations Have Fun! Grow as Young Men! Win, contend for League Championship Qualify for State Playoffs Advance in State Playoffs Play Win State Championship! Create Opportunities for Players post High School: GPAs & Test Scores very important!

Coach Thelen 2019 season will be my 33rd as a high school coach – 27th as a head coach 5 teams have qualified for semi-finals in 24 seasons as a Head Coach in Colorado. Only 1 appearance in state championship, 2012. At Legend we inherited a program with a RPI ranking of 32. After three seasons our RPI’s have been 18,19 & 24 We want to get in the top 16! Host a playoff game!

Coaching Staff Offense Defense JD Brookhardt – D1 head coach @ Akron, assistant @ Broncos, Pitt, CU Sean Farley – played at Creek & NAU, coached @ Regis Danny DiPetro – has put in a tremendous amount of time prepping for season! EJ Kruse – head JV coach for 3 seasons, LB coach Kris Rosholt – Wisconsin – Whitewater as player, in NFL camp Devan Alledredge – Big Sky Champs @ Weber State

Freshman Staff Jason Swiney – Head Coach Matt Wilson – Def. Cord. Ander Pierce – Line coach Undefeated 2018 season! Freshman players practice separately from JV/Varsity Team

STATE OF THE PROGRAM EXCITING TIME FIELD STAFF IMPROVEMENTS-EQUIPMENT,GEAR, SAFETY, TRAILER, TRAINING, ETC COST COLLEGE/PRO VISITS GAME DAY EXPERIENCE TEAM BUILDING MEANINGFUL BOOSTER CLUB

EVERYTHING COUNTS! Student/Athletes can & should be working right now for the 2019 Season: “Little Things” added together become “Big Things” Strength & speed development is crucial for all! Student/Athletes who do ordinary things extraordinarily well stand out: Academic work, staying out of trouble, attend team activities, work hard, be positive, commit to a cause larger than your own

Coach & Parent Objectives are the same – No Problem! Problems can occur when Parent/Player Objective becomes: 1) college scholarship 2) featured role on the team 3) specific position/role on team LT Football is a cause bigger than any one person, family or team member Coach Thelen will decide who plays, who plays what position, & who gets the ball Parents will play no role in that decision making process Players are encouraged to seek out their position coaches to get questions or concerns answers. They then can approach me to discuss anything related to their situation. After those two interactions, parents are welcomed to email or call me to discuss any concerns related to their child.
