Substitute Training Information

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT IDEAS Put your name and their assignment on the board Get and keep students on task Begin instruction or activities immediately to set the tone for the class Maintain a high rate of positive interactions Reinforce positive behavior Minimize time during transitions Be prepared for downtime, early finishers The more prepared you are, the less chance there is for disruption

KEEP YOUR PHONE PUT AWAY FOLLOW LESSON PLANS Lesson plans aren’t a suggestion. ALWAYS follow what the teacher has left for you to do. TEXTING AND SOCIAL MEDIA No texting students. Do not become friends with students on social media. If they try to add you, deny the request. KEEP YOUR PHONE PUT AWAY Seeing you on your phone will only encourage students to be on theirs

Different Job Types VACAVAID0 – Vacant Aide position. Generally used in Special Education situations where a student needs someone there with them to help, but a full time position has not been created yet. VACANVAC1- Vacant Teacher position. Usually used while a campus is looking to hire a new teacher when a teacher has left the district.
