A walk to the park Getting there safely. By A Robinson

The children in the preschool room are excited! Today they are going to the park for a picnic.

before they leave the children need to consider how they can keep themselves safe near the roads. The children have developed a list of things to remember.

To keep safe, I will remember to:

1: STOP When we get to the road we will stop and wait so that everybody can cross together. We will stop when our teacher or a parent asks us to stop.

2: Look We will need to look for approaching vehicles. When crossing the road, we… Look left Look right Look left again

3: Listen Listen to our teachers and parents. Listen for cars and sirens

When we walk to the park we have agreed to….. Stay on the path… Always hold hands… Stay together…

REMEMBER……. STOP LOOK LISTEN

Now the children are ready to go to the park…..
