Mrs. Morano’s Pre-K News Week of November 6, 2017 This week’s theme: Review of Units 1 & 2 Math ELA In math this week we practiced subtracting up to four items. Counting using one to one correspondence. Since it is review week, each day this week the children voted on a book to read from Units 1&2. We re-read Corduroy, Oonga, Boonga and Oscar is Cold. We also reviewed all of the concept vocabulary words from the two units. Handwriting Our letter of the week was letter c. We practiced writing the letter C as well as thinking of words that start with the /c/ sound Science Due to the short week and the Walk-a-thon, we did not have Science this week. Social Studies Due to the short week and the Walk-a-thon, we did not have Social Studies this week. Religion . News & Reminders Please labels all jackets, sweaters, hats, gloves and scarves with your child’s name. In Religion the children learned the Bible is like a love letter from God to them. They hear two stories about God’s love that are in the Bible: Jesus cherishing children; David and Goliath. They make a prayer book to use at home or in church .
