Building Trustworthy Semantic Web Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham The University of Texas at Dallas Assignment #1 February 1, 2010

Problem #1 Describe a application that requires the information sharing between multiple organization (e.g., doctors’ office, hospitals, insurance companies). Develop security policies for information sharing. Show how semantic web technologies may be used to provide secure interoperability.

Problem #2 Describe an application where data is stored in relational tables. Describe how the tables can be transformed into XML documents.

Problem #3 Take an example page in text. Show how that page may be represented in XML?
