Presentation transcript:

Get nutrient power from a REAL ENERGY DRINK Lots of athletes are turning to MILK as their favorite sports drink. It’s a tasty way to replace lost fluid. MILK protein may help muscles recover faster than the higher sugar, so-called “sports drinks.” MILK isn’t just for kids; it’s just as essential for moms and dads. Nutrient-rich dairy foods help build and maintain healthy bones and teeth for a lifetime. Low-fat MILK can also help you have a healthy weight, lower high blood pressure, and build muscle mass. For the most nutrients with the least fat and calories, choose fat-free (skim) or low-fat (1%). Like chocolate or other flavors? Stick with low-fat and you’ll enjoy the same nutrients as in plain MILK. Nutrition News at Our School This space is a FILL-IN-THE-BLANK box - where you can insert info about nutrition in your school. This month would be great time to talk about what your school is doing to promote healthier snack habits. Or you could highlight how you are encouraging children to drink more low-fat milk at school. You can change the color, size, and font of the text using the regular PowerPoint toolbars. NEED HELP? Ask another staff member (or a student) who is familiar with PowerPoint for assistance.
