TOPIC: Here is the debate question: IS TOUGH LOVE EFFECTIVE? Yes: it works, keeps people in line, teaches, benefits society, learn consequences, morals and consideration, etc No: too harsh, causes people to abuse their power, causes people to shut down, lowers self esteem, etc

Roles/jobs Group leader Opening statement Closing statement: like your hook, hook your reader, get them interested, like the beginning of a Law and Order episode, state your claim… Closing statement: “So what” Your conclusion, wraps up and gives advice, something to DO with the information you’ve debated
