Graduate Student Opportunity Viterbi Summer Institute The Viterbi Summer Institute (VSI) is a 4 week residential high-achievement program designed to enhance the transition to USC for engineering students from underrepresented backgrounds. VSI participants will gain a competitive edge by engaging with faculty, staff, and students in a supportive community environment. Outcomes Students will be able to describe components of the research process. Students will be able to name at least 3 skills needed to succeed as a researcher 90 percent of students surveyed agreed or strongly agree that they have a better understanding of the research process. Graduate Student Opportunity We need graduate students to mentor and guide these incoming students in a structured research environment. Tuesday, July 9th to Thursday, August 1st Mondays–Fridays, 2-6 p.m. Paid at a rate of $25 per hour for a twenty hour work week. Students who are working as RAs are eligible to participate in the program as long as their appointments are 50% or less.
