The Reagon Era 1980- Revolution Begins Marked significant change toward Conservativism Called for return to “Traditional American Values” Emphasis on family life, hard work, respect for the law, & patriotism Believed too much fed gov’t involvement in lives of people Collect too many taxes Spent too much money on social programs Designed to help others who can’t help themselves Deregulation Cutting rules & regulations for businesses Making money became 1st Everything else becomes 2nd ‘

Reaganomics: “Trickle-Down” It says targeted tax cuts work better than general ones. It advocates cuts to corporations, capital gains, and savings taxes. It doesn't promote across-the-board tax cuts. Instead, the tax cuts go to the wealthy.
