Tools and Procedures

A common measurement system Because experiments must be able to be repeated we need a common measurement system Scientist use the metric system to avoid confusion The metric system is a decimal system that uses multiples of 10

Microscopes Microscopes are devices that produce magnified images of structures that are too small to see with the unaided eye Light microscopes use a light rays to magnify the image Electron microscopes produce magnified images by focusing beams of electrons

Laboratory techniques a cell culture is when a group of cells is made from a single original cell Cell fractionation is used to separate the different cell parts
