Unit 8 SpellCab Words

1. sagacious adjective- have practical sense; knowledgeable Example: My first hour seems to be very sagacious when it comes to reading.

2. comely adjective- (typically talking about a woman) pleasant to look at; attractive Example: Most people describe Taylor Swift as a comely young woman.

3. demurely Adverb: characterized by shyness and modesty Example: The new students sat demurely at the back of the class so no one would notice her.

4. pulchritudinous Adjective: physically beautiful; comely Example: The model was chosen for the photo shoot because she was pulchritudinous.

5. tresses Noun: long locks or curls of hair Example: Abby does not like her long tresses, because they are hard to maintain.

6. novel Adjective: new and not resembling something formerly known or used Example: I heard a novel song on the radio; I have never heard anything like it before.
