American and French Revolution Exam review

Part One – Matching 3rd Estate = Most of the population in France 1st Estate = The higher clergy of the church 2nd Estate = The nobility of France Sans Cullotte = Individuals who wear short pants Coup D'état = A swift siege or change of the government

Part two - Questions and Fill in the blank 1) Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence 2) In England, parliament passed __the Stamp Act_to collect money from the colonist to pay for their defense 3) Patriots were American colonist who fought with the French against the British 4) A – Unfair Privileges, the injustices of the social system B – The growing Economic crisis and the starvation of the people in the 3rd Estate C – The desire of the 3rd Estate (peasants) to have political power 5) In France, The National Assembly implemented the Declaration of the Rights of Men, which is similar to the Declaration of Independence in America.
