NİŞANTAŞI ÜNİVERSİTESİ © Course Goals Through lectures, small group discussion, collaborative learning, text exercises, and computer technology the students will learn how to: deduce the meaning of words by utilizing contextual clues, recognize and identify the topic and the main idea in paragraphs and reading selections, distinguish between major and minor supporting details, identify reference words to show the connections between ideas, recognize transitions and patterns of organization in paragraphs and reading selections. Strategıes for Success The most succesful students in this course; Attend almost all the classes. Expand on their learning by participating the class activities.
