NİŞANTAŞI ÜNİVERSİTESİ © Course Descrıptıon This reading course is designed to help students master basic reading skills by developing vocabulary, literal and inferential comprehension, textbook reading techniques, and study skills. Learning to vary reading rate and to read for a purpose can allow students to improve comprehension and to read for pleasure.  NİŞANTAŞI ÜNİVERSİTESİ ©

NİŞANTAŞI ÜNİVERSİTESİ © Course Goals Through lectures, small group discussion, collaborative learning, text exercises, and computer technology the students will learn how to: deduce the meaning of words by utilizing contextual clues, recognize and identify the topic and the main idea in paragraphs and reading selections, distinguish between major and minor supporting details, identify reference words to show the connections between ideas, recognize transitions and patterns of organization in paragraphs and reading selections. Turn off your phones and other electronic devices so they do not make a noise during the class. You are welcome to submit questions via e-mail. Please sign your name and the course number when you do so. ABSENTEEISM HAS UTMOST IMPORTANCE AND THE LIMIT IS 13 hours and above within the duration of the course.
