What is Communication? Communication is a relationship between two or more than two persons, when they at a certain time & place, are engaged in the exchange of information through a mutually shared medium. For instance, language, face expression, music, color etc.

Transmission of message - Communication is a process that involves the transmission of message from a sender to the receiver. In other words the process by which any person or a group shares and impacts information with/to another person (or group) so that either people (or groups) clearly understand each other.

Body language - Communication is much more than words going from one person's mouth to another's ear. In addition to the words, messages are transferred by the tone and quality of voice, eye contact, physical closeness, visual cues, and overall body language. Types of Communication: 1- Verbal Communication -Exchanging of messages or information through words is called Verbal communication. So, verbal communication is the process of exchanged of information or message between two or more persons through written or oral words. -This process of communication occurs through personal conversations (face to face communication), group discussions, counseling, interview, radio, television, calls, memos, letters, reports, notes, email etc.

Oral communication -Oral communication is the process of communication in which messages or information is exchanged or communicated within sender and receiver through the word of mouth. -We use spoken words in oral communication. It includes face-to-face conversations, speech, telephone conversation, video, radio, television, video conference, etc In oral communication, volume, speed and clarity of speaking affect communication.

Written Communication A written message may be printed or hand written. In media written communication message Transmission can be via email, letter, report, and memo etc. The vocabulary & grammar used, writing style, precision and clarity of the language used affect message in written communication.
