Unit 3, Lesson 1 Position and Motion

So, what’s our hot topic today So, what’s our hot topic today? We are going to observe and analyze motion and position of objects over time. (PS-E-B3 #25) So that we can - - describe and relate position and motion - define speed using distance and time WE WILL WORK AS A TEAM TO REACH OUR GOALS!

Pay close attention to these words. They will help us reach our goals. Position Motion Speed Distance

Let’s get our brains popping! https://jr.brainpop.com/science/forces/pushesandpulls/

Jr. Scientists, there will be 4 science explorations. Group 1 – Position Group 2 – Distance Group 3 – Motion Group 4 – Speed All materials and instructions are in your science kits. Use appropriate table talk and work cooperatively as you gather your data. After you have gathered data, one Scientist from each group will present your group’s findings.

Our target is to: To observe and analyze motion and position of objects over time. So that we can: - describe and relate position and motion - define speed using distance and time
